That Gory Cartoon Movie Ending That Stays With Fans

Out of every adult-oriented cartoon movies I’ve personally viewed, nothing has lingered in my mind as much as the terror-laced conclusion of a graphically gory as well as highly provocative film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

In the year 2015, the Spanish filmmaker crafted a grim, somber and often savage universe with some tiny , desolate twinges of hope.

While Unicorn Wars seems like it originated from an impulse to advance the medium even more, the director stated that it was actually an effort to communicate a global, multicultural message about “the shared root of all wars.”

That message is expressed by means of a band of brightly hued teddy bears , clearly inspired by a well-known series of cuddly figures.

Growing up in a community focused on warmongering and the defense industry, numerous the bears are consumed by killing unicorns, thanks to a religious scripture that tells them they previously were rulers of the woods, until the horned beings drove them out.

A few did not entirely fallen for the brainwashing, , would rather try out substances and engage sexually outdoors.

In contrast to their friendly equivalents, these vivid animals display genitals , clear urges.

For a particular particularly cruel, cynical bear, Bluey, the conflict against the unicorns turns into a path to control — and particularly to authority above his softer, kinder brother the character Tubby.

Bluey behaves aggressively , an apparent psychopath , and when terror takes over his group and kills his comrades individually, he takes more and more control on his own behalf, in increasingly gory, harmful methods.

At the same time, the horned creatures are suffering their own horror, in the form of an expanding, harmful creature in their woods.

“At the beginning, it feels like a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker commented. “But then it turns into a more intense and sad movie. And ultimately, it’s a horror film.”

The Unicorn Wars begins similar to one of the most quirky movies by a renowned filmmaker, that discover a naughty glee in allowing drawn beings curse, fire weapons, or have intimate relations.

Afterward it becomes closer to a more grim movie from the same creator, featuring progressively explicit brutality and a tangible link to the actual suffering of battle.

By the end, it is a full-on Grand Guignol massacre.

The horror that makes the film a perfect Halloween viewing starts a lot earlier than one might expect.

Unicorn Wars is ideal for the most dedicated lovers of violence, for fans of extreme cinema who wish to see a movie they’ve never viewed until now, and are able to withstand a narrative that offers absolutely no punches.

Watch it with the lights off without any distractions, and the conclusion will burrow under your skin and stay with you.
