Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.
This occurrence is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to return to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
